Who We Are

Happier Reading was established in January 2026 as a non-profit project of Wells of Water, Inc. Our mission is to help improve the literacy rate among people of all ages by inspiring a love of reading.

Our Services

Our aim is to make people happier by building meaningful connections through reading. We achieve this by providing the following services.

  • Hosting Book Clubs virtually and locally in Los Angeles, CA and Baltimore, MD for our Happier Reading Club members.

  • Donating books to local libraries, schools, and other non-profits whose aim is to advance literacy in their communities.

  • Giving to non-profits and organizations whose aim is to advance literacy among people of all ages through educational programs.

Meet Lexi

Lexi Redmond is the Founder of the Happier Reading Project. Leveraging her consulting experience in leadership development and community engagement, Lexi aims to make work better for all by analyzing needs and pain points, sharing stories, and highlighting the experiences and voices of underrepresented communities. She has contributed her research and insights to publications such as the Journal of Business and Psychology and Forbes. She received her master’s in industrial/organizational psychology at Florida Institute of Technology. Lexi was recently named to the Learning Guild’s Thirty Under 30 2025 cohort for her work in the Learning and Organizational Development field.

When not at her 9-5, Lexi enjoys storytelling of any kind, whether that’s writing her next script, reading a good book, or attending the next big Broadway show.

Lexi’s favorite genre’s are romcoms, memoirs, and Black history of any kind.

Meet Roshanne

As the guiding force behind Wells of Water, Inc., a non-profit entity, Dr. Roshanne Allen is at the forefront of strategic urban revitalization efforts, wielding her expertise to breathe new life into communities, creating sustainable change.

Dr. Allen extends her influence across national and global educational initiatives. From the United States to Ghana and Togo, her vision transcends borders, empowering learners and fostering growth. Additionally, Dr. Allen serves as the provost for Randolph A. Carr Bible College, further enriching her impact on education.

Dr. Allen’s legacy extends beyond revitalization and education. She spearheads the PK Vision Colloquy and Leadership Symposium™. These dialogues shape the next generation of leaders. Recently honored with the Compass Clock of Conscience award at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., she champions resilience—a philosophy that fuels her leadership, mentorship and community development endeavors.

Dr. Allen’s unwavering dedication leaves an indelible mark on education, leadership, and the communities she serves.
